You Are There

O Lord, you have searched me and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue
you know it completely, O Lord.
Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
If I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.”
~Psalm 139

If I go to the Pediatrics Intensive Care Unit at BSA hospital in Amarillo where a precious 16-year-old child is dying of cancer…
you are there.

You are there.

You are there.

You are there.

Dear Father, please bless Madison with your gracious comfort and peace. Pour your mercies upon Levi and Shannon and their family. God, be there. Be faithful to your word, and be there.

    My dad is now at end of life, and Psalm 116 has brought me much comfort in the recent months leading up to this time, especially verse 15: “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.” Really gives us insight to God’s view of death.

    Blessings to young Madison, and the whole family. They will be in my prayers.

    May God make His presence, His peace and His passion known and felt by Madison, Levi, Shannon and their family.
    Our hearts ache as we lift the Knebusch family before God’s throne.
